The WFUMB Scholarship Program was established in 2001 with the mission to improve the capability within Medical Ultrasound. As many as three scholarships of up to USD 5000 may be given to three individual members of WFUMB each year.

Preconditions of the Scholarship: Medical doctors, younger than 40 years of age working in developing countries and having basic experience in Medical Ultrasound.

Applicants must affirm:

• Pre-acceptance into a program of study.
• Proposed training program will be completed within 12 months of receiving the scholarship.
• Proposed training program will last for at least one month.
• Understanding that the travel funds for scholarships will be handled through the host institution.
