which offered educational and logistic support.

The activity of FLAUS has been centered fundamentally on education aspects, during this biennium they have been carried out several FLAUS courses in Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Colombia, supporting to the different societies affiliated to our Federation, 

In 2006 the II International Course of the WFUMB Center of Excellence for Latin-America, together with the Congress of the Venezuelan Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology was held in the City of Maracaibo, Venezuela with the participation of 12 outstanding Latin American professors under the direction of Dr. Leandro Fernández, secretary of this center.

Courses are held in Bolivia and in Costa Rica in 2007.

The XII Congress of the Latin American Federation was carried out in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador in August 2007  

FLAUS continues to promote the formation of ultrasound societies in some Latin American countries, conformed other the same ones for different professionals of the medicine, radiologists, sonologysts, cadiologyst, oculists, gynecologists and obstetricians, internal medicine, gastroenteologysts, anesthesiologists, etc.
