3. Acceptance of Reports
a. President’s Address/Report: M Ziskin thanked WFUMB Council for support and introduced the concept behind proposed changes to the Constitution to reduce terms of office of Council.
b. Treasurer’s Report: - Report by B Benacerraf. Sound financial state of affairs. Audit
presented and put on file.
c. Secretary’s Report -Report by S Barnett (see file “2006_Seoul_Secretary_Report”)
d. WFUMB Centers of Excellence: Report by H Watanabe
e. Education Committee: -Report by E Buscarini – continuing work in Africa and Asia. See major article in ECHOES newsletter.
f. Safety Committee: S Barnett. Major new activity to propose guidelines on Non-Medical Use of Diagnostic Ultrasound.
g. WFUMB Website: S Hancke. - New dynamic site.
h. WFUMB 2006 Congress Report: Presented by WFUMB 2006 Congress President, BI Choi. Successful meeting with >3,100 delegates including industry.
i. WFUMB 2009 Congress Report: Presented by WFUMB 2009 Convenor and Chair Organising Committee, S Barnett. Program of promotional activities commences in earnest from Seoul congress until Sept 2009. Promotional activities planned for major international conferences beyond the scope of ultrasound congresses (refer to file “2006_Seoul_WFUMB09_ProgressReport”). All Reports Accepted
4. Constitution Change
The President, M Ziskin, outlined the rationale for proposed changes and referred to documentation sent by the Secretary to each Affiliated Society, according to the requirements of the Constitution. MZ also circulated copies of recommended changes (obtained from legal consultation in New York) to the wording of the constitution to bring about the proposed changes (see Appendix 2).

Motion:
That WFUMB changes its constitution to shorten the terms of office for its executive officers and administrative council to two years, commencing at the world congress in 2009.

That WFUMB changes its constitution to convene its world congress every two years, commencing at the world congress in 2009.

5. Election of WFUMB Life Member
Motion:
That the award of Life Membership of WFUMB is bestowed on Dr. Peter Wells in recognition of his outstanding contribution as Editor-In-Chief.

8. Hand over of Presidency of WFUMB
Dr. Marvin C Ziskin thanked Councilors and WFUMB members and introduced Dr. Giovanni G Cerri.
9. Report of New President
G Cerri announced that he plans to widen the scope of WFUMB activities in education and formation of more Centres Of Excellence. He will propose appointments to WFUMB Council Committees in the meeting of the New Administrative Council on Wednesday 31st May 2006
